Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Telehandler Operator to join our construction and logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating telehandlers efficiently and safely on-site, assisting with material handling and movement across various projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in commercial driving to contribute to our dynamic team.

Duties

Operate telehandlers to lift, move, and position materials accurately on construction sites or industrial locations
Conduct routine safety checks and ensure equipment is maintained in optimal condition
Assist with loading and unloading materials from lorries or storage areas
Collaborate with site managers and other operatives to coordinate material delivery schedules
Support the operation of excavators and other heavy machinery as required
Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
Complete documentation related to equipment usage and maintenance logs

Skills

Proven experience in operating telehandlers in a commercial setting
Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks
Familiarity with excavator operation is advantageous
Strong understanding of health and safety standards relevant to heavy machinery operation
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Valid driving licence suitable for commercial vehicle operation, preferably with relevant certifications for operating heavy machinery
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

This position requires a dedicated professional who prioritises safety, efficiency, and teamwork. Applicants should possess the necessary skills and experience to operate heavy machinery confidently while adhering to all safety protocols.

Pay: £21.50 per hour
