Full job description

We are looking to recruit a Blending Manager to manage the day-to-day running of the blending department and support the Manufacturing Manager in developing and implementing the strategic direction for the department.

Day to day tasks include management and motivation of staff, the facilitation of the blended teas to the manufacturing floor and control of Tea inventory through the ERP system including accurate cycle counts ensuring financial visibility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

. Maintain and improve the safety, legality and quality of products manufactured in accordance with food safety and quality policy.

· Co-ordination, organisation, administration, and supervision of staff in blending

· Ensure the safe and correct use of the equipment within the blending area and ensure accurate picking and collating of tea blends.

· Support the Head of Operations in ensuring that all blending colleagues are kept up to date with site targets, performance and initiatives

· Working with the Management Team to develop and maintain a high performing work culture throughout the department, utilising effective coaching techniques to develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours of the team.

· Effective administration of time keeping holiday and absence.

· To conduct timely and effective investigations in line with disciplinary policy

· Assist in organising, managing and, where required, participate in stock takes.

· Receive & verify accuracy of incoming shipments, ensure materials are placed in appropriate locations, are clearly marked, and recorded on ERP system.

· Manage the maintenance of up-to-date inventory records through the use of ERP inventory system.

· Manage appropriate budgets (labour and materials).

· Co-ordinate with Warehouse and Despatch Manager to ensure space within facility is properly managed through peak periods.

· Provide cover to the production area for holiday or absence.

· Regularly review blending procedures, working practices and risk assessments to ensure compliance with all associated legislation for improvements

Person Requirements

· Stock Management experience is essential ideally in the food and drink industry.

· Line Management experience including appraisals, disciplinaries, investigations.

· Excellent communication skills with all levels and all areas within the business.

· System and standards driven with a high attention to detail.

· Be able to analyse systems/procedures and recommend improvements to maximise productivity through KPI’s.

· Is logical and understands production machinery and efficiency measures.

· Champions continuous improvement and encourages innovation.

· Proven track record of driving a culture of change within a team.

· Demand integrity, productivity, and accountability from all co –workers.

Pay: £40,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
