Job Summary

We’re looking for an experienced painter and decorator to join our team delivering high-quality works relating to new fit-out works within Ayrshire.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Apply paints and decorative finishes using brushes, rollers, sprayers, or other tools with precision and care. Mainly to new plasterboard, mdf and timber.
Interpret project specifications and work from drawings or instructions to achieve desired results.
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste responsibly.
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate schedules and clarify project requirements.
Follow health and safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with construction regulations.
Inspect completed work for quality assurance, making touch-ups or corrections as needed.

Requirements - Essential

Proven experience in construction painting and decorating.
Strong communication skills in English to understand instructions and liaise with team members effectively.
Knowledge of various painting techniques, surface preparation methods, and decorative finishes.
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, climb ladders and perform manual tasks efficiently.
Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures and the importance of adhering to health regulations.
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting & Decorating
Must hold a valid CSCS card (blue or above)

Requirements - Desirable

Pay: From £14.50 per hour
