Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming environment. This role involves managing guest check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, and addressing guest enquiries with courtesy and efficiency. Multilingual skills and hospitality experience are highly valued to enhance guest satisfaction and support a diverse clientele. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career within the hospitality industry.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures
Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately using the booking system
Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy
Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest experience
Process payments efficiently and issue receipts or invoices as required
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are prepared to standard
Maintain a tidy and organised reception area at all times
Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary to ensure satisfaction
Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and reporting as needed

Experience

Previous experience in hotel reception or customer service roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities
Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are advantageous for serving a diverse guest profile
Knowledge of hospitality standards and guest services practices is desirable
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently
Organised with excellent attention to detail to ensure smooth daily operations
