Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Powder Coater to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various metal components, ensuring high-quality finishes in line with company standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong interest in fabrication and finishing processes. The Powder Coater will work within a dynamic environment, contributing to the production of durable, aesthetically pleasing products.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or masking prior to coating application
Operate powder coating equipment accurately and efficiently to achieve consistent coverage
Maintain and monitor spray guns and other application tools for optimal performance
Inspect finished products for quality, colour consistency, and adherence to specifications
Perform minor repairs or touch-ups as required to meet quality standards
Assist with the setup and calibration of coating machinery and related equipment
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality targets

Requirements

Proven experience or knowledge in powder coating processes is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding, and fabrication techniques are advantageous
Experience working in warehouse environments, construction painting, or assembly roles is beneficial
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control standards
Good organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
