Full job description

A well-established membrane manufacturing company based in Norfolk is looking for a Process Operator to join its production team.

The Company:

PIL Membranes design, manufacture and test unique polymer membranes for the clothing, electronic, military, and medical markets. They specialise in water vapour transmission products with a range of applications such as leather effect membranes for children’s school shoes; technical and industrial clothing (including anti-static, viral barrier, fire- and chemical-retardant garments); and sports and leisure footwear and apparel.

The Role:

Working an average of 42 hours per week, on a 7-day Rotary shift pattern worked 7am-7pm & 7pm-7am as part of a team producing membranes on a purpose-built automated production line. Assisting the STM with the day-to-day operation of the plant to ensure product quality, maximise efficiency and ensure customer orders are delivered on time.Part of a team producing membranes on a purpose-built automated production line. Responsibilities of a successful candidate:

Plant operation and monitoring through a computer-based control system
Product quality control testing and monitoring
Supporting Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental procedures
Troubleshooting and improving processes

Candidate requirements:

Team player
Analytical
Computer literate
Problem-solving skills
Maths and English GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent)
