Warehouse Operative – Fast-Paced & Physically Demanding Role

Are you a reliable and hardworking individual who thrives in a busy environment? Do you have experience working in a fast-paced Warehouse setting and aren’t afraid of heavy lifting?

We’re a successful furniture company looking for a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our amazing team. This is a physically demanding role that requires strength, stamina, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. You'll be handling heavy furniture, loading and unloading deliveries, and keeping up with a high-paced workflow.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of our journey on the Day Shift (07:00 – 15:45). There may also be a requirement to provide cover for our Delivery Drivers when needed.

What about you?

To be successful in this role you will:

· Pick, pack, wrap and load/unload goods onto/off vehicles, making sure all items are checked and present and paperwork completed correctly.

· Use MHE equipment including forklift trucks / VNA’s / pump trucks for the safe movement of stock in the warehouse.

· Support assembly/manufacturing work as organised by Warehouse Supervisor.

· Ensure premises including warehouses and yard are kept tidy, clean and safe following 5S standards/methods.

· Ensure all goods handling is done in a safe manner following all H&S guidelines.

· Carry out daily stock checks as requested by line manager to support stock accuracy in the warehouse.

· Quality check all outbound goods to ensure no damages or faults to the goods and that they are clean and packaged accordingly.

· Ensure goods are moved/stored efficiently and carefully to ensure no damages.

· Ensure all relevant documentation is provided to drivers for deliveries/collections.

· Support with maintaining MHE equipment to ensure they are kept in good working order.

· To be flexible to divert to other tasks, roles, and shift times according to the dictate of management.

Have you got the following skills?

Clean driving license with van driving experience
Reliable and punctual
Hard worker
Physically fit
Ability to work alone or within a team.
Previous experience in a warehouse environment - minimum 5 years.
Previous experience working with a WMS system and picking stock using handheld terminals.
