Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction painting and possess excellent communication skills. This role involves working on various projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and attention to detail. Working in occupied and empty properties. A valid driving licence is essential as travel to different job sites will be required.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks.
Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with project specifications.
Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and provide expert advice on colour schemes and materials.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and report any issues promptly.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times while on site.
Keep work areas tidy and organised throughout the duration of each project.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting or a similar role.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A valid driving licence is required for travel between job sites.
Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
