Full job description

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Assistant to join our friendly and growing accountancy firm. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a flexible part-time role within a supportive team environment. We are looking for ideally 28 hours per week, we are flexible to the working pattern needed, but preferably working a Friday. Salary is FTE based on a 35 hour working week.

The Role

This role will focus exclusively on payroll services for a varied client base. Your responsibilities will include:

Processing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls
Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and RTI submissions
Managing auto-enrolment pension processes
Handling payroll queries from clients and employees
Maintaining accurate payroll records
Managing a client portfolio

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

Has experience processing payroll (practice experience preferred)
Has strong attention to detail and accuracy
Is confident liaising with clients
Is organised and able to meet deadlines
Is familiar with sage payroll software
Is able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Pay: £28,500.00 per year
