Full job description

Job Summary
We’re a small boutique agency specialising in corporate accommodation for all the big events in Cannes, Davos, Munich, Leeds and Barcelona. We are growing and need some help!

Responsibilities

Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely manner.
Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
Preparing and entering journals into Xero.
Supporting the preparation of management accounts and month-end duties.
Reconciling balance sheet accounts.
Assisting with monthly payroll and commission calculations.
Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns and other reporting requirements.
Working with the Sales & Operations team to problem solve and fix variances.
Provide support to management regarding financial queries and reporting.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant or in a similar role.
Confident and know your way round Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc).
Proficiency in Xero.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work as a part of a team.
Adaptable and ability to create efficiencies.
Personable and good on the telephone.
Ideally you will have some previous experience working in a small team.
French language ,and/or experience of the travel sector, an advantage.
