We’re looking for an ambitious Assistant General Manager who’s ready to take ownership of the floor, inspire a team and help drive one of Edinburgh’s most exciting bars to the next level.

What you’ll be doing
As AGM, you’ll be the General Manager’s right hand, leading from the front and taking ownership of the business when on shift.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading and motivating the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences every shift.
- Running busy late-night operations with confidence and energy.
- Creating a culture where guests want to stay longer, spend more and return often.
- Planning and delivering engaging events, themed nights and promotional campaigns that drive sales.
- Working alongside the General Manager to build the venue’s reputation and commercial performance.
- Driving customer engagement through social media, local partnerships and creative marketing initiatives.
- Coaching, developing and motivating the team to be their best.
- Maintaining exceptional standards across service, cleanliness, compliance and licensing.
- Leading by example behind the bar, with excellent cocktail knowledge and premium drinks service.
- Taking ownership of shift performance, labour, stock control and operational standards.
What we’re looking for
- At least 1 year’s experience in an Assistant General Manager (or equivalent management) role within a busy bar or late-night venue.
- A natural leader who enjoys getting the best out of people.
- Commercially minded with a genuine understanding of how to grow sales and maximise opportunities.
- Experience planning events and promotional campaigns that increase footfall and customer engagement.
- Strong understanding of social media and how it can be used to build excitement around a venue.
- Excellent cocktail-making skills and experience preparing premium drinks.
- Confident working in a fast-paced, high-volume late-night environment.
- Someone who isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up and lead from the front.
