For over 60 years, Valley Hydraulics has specialised in the design and manufacture of bespoke hydraulic cylinders from our Clitheroe site. Built on a team of skilled and long-serving employees, we are now expanding our finishing, testing, and assembly team to meet growing demand.

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Assembly & Test Technician to join our engineering team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background who takes pride in precision, quality, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

Assembling hydraulic cylinders in line with engineering drawings and specifications
Checking measurements and tolerances to ensure high-quality manufacturing standards
Fault finding, diagnosing issues, and carrying out repairs on hydraulic cylinders
Pressure testing hydraulic cylinders using company test rigs to ensure they are leak-free and meet required standards
Setting up and operating hydraulic test equipment safely and efficiently
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in mechanical assembly, fitting, or hydraulic systems
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Hands on methodical worker
Good problem-solving skills, particularly in fault finding and repair
Experience with hydraulic testing equipment (desirable but not essential)
