Assistant Accountant (LS13 1NP)

With over 100 years of heritage and more than 250 employees across multiple sites, we design, manufacture and deliver high-quality timber buildings and outdoor living products, combining traditional craftsmanship with continuous improvement and innovation.

The Role

We are looking for a confident and detail-focused Assistant Accountant to join our Finance Team based at our Head Office in Rodley, Leeds.

This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day finance function across the Group. You will work across sales ledger, banking, stock accounting, reconciliations and month-end activities, helping to ensure accurate financial information and strong financial controls.

What You Will Be Doing

Managing the accounts receivable process from invoicing through to cash allocation and reconciliation.
Reconciling bank accounts and multiple payment platforms including credit cards, Klarna and PayPal.
Supporting credit control activities and maintaining customer accounts.
Processing and controlling stock transactions within our ERP system.
Assisting with stock reconciliations and stock valuations across multiple sites.
Preparing accruals, prepayments and month-end reconciliations.
Processing and reconciling intercompany transactions.
Producing financial analysis and supporting ad hoc reporting requirements.
Supporting continuous improvement projects, including the implementation of a new ERP system.

What We're Looking For

AAT qualified or part-qualified.
Previous experience within a finance or accounts environment.
Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
Good organisational and analytical skills.
Able to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
A proactive and positive approach to problem solving.

We are more interested in attitude, attention to detail and the ability to learn than a long list of qualifications.
