Salary: £56,000 – £60,000 per annum (DOE)

Job Type: Full-time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break)

Join Micronclean as Our R&D Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an R&D Manager to join our growing business based at our Head Office in Skegness, Lincolnshire.

This is a pivotal leadership role within our Product Management team, responsible for driving innovation, managing product development activity, and delivering commercially viable products and services to market. You will lead our R&D and Product Development teams, champion innovation across the business, and play a key role in shaping Micronclean’s future growth.

The Role

As R&D Manager, you will take ownership of Micronclean’s R&D and Product Development function, overseeing projects from concept through to delivery.

You will work collaboratively across departments, support strategic decision-making, and build strong internal and external relationships to identify opportunities and ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage Micronclean’s R&D and Product Development teams
Champion and embed a culture of innovation across the business
Shape and manage the R&D and Product Development pipeline in collaboration with Product Management
Provide strategic direction to development projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and company purpose
Develop and enhance project management systems to ensure efficient, robust delivery of R&D and product development activity
Support and develop Project Leaders, including workload management and prioritisation
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, trade bodies and external partners to identify market opportunities and emerging trends
Ensure accurate maintenance of R&D and Product Development systems and records in line with company policies
Take responsibility for both team leadership and successful project delivery, ensuring high-quality outputs and timely completion

Knowledge & Skills

We are looking for a confident and collaborative leader with:

Team leadership and people management experience
Strong project leadership and project management capability
Strategic decision-making skills
Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
Product development and innovation expertise
Strong commercial awareness with customer and market focus

Qualifications & Experience

Essential requirements include:

Full UK Driving Licence
Graduate-level qualification
Educational background in Product Development, Innovation Management or a related discipline
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
