Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Seamstress or Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with premium fabrics and delivering impeccable alterations. This role provides the opportunity to work on garments for high-net-worth clients and luxury fashion brands in a dynamic and creative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Alter high-end luxury garments, ensuring the perfect fit and attention to detail for each piece.
Work with a variety of delicate fabrics such as silk, wool, cashmere, and fine cottons, ensuring they are treated with care.
Perform various alterations including hemming, adjusting seams, fitting adjustments, and other modifications to meet client specifications.
Utilise both hand-sewing and machine stitching techniques to achieve high-quality finishes.
Ensure each garment meets the exacting standards of craftsmanship, with no compromise on the overall appearance and fit.
Assist clients during fittings, offering professional advice and ensuring their alteration needs are met with precision and care.
Inspect completed garments to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and precision.
Ensure garments are cleaned, pressed, and prepared for final delivery in perfect condition.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a seamstress/tailor, particularly with luxury garments or in high-end tailoring.
Expertise in garment alterations, with a strong eye for detail and precision.
Proficiency in both hand-sewing and machine sewing techniques.
Familiarity with working on delicate fabrics and ensuring their proper handling.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide exceptional client service.
Strong organisational skills, including the ability to track and manage alteration requests.
