Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in financial management within a dynamic organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable ledgers
Perform credit control activities, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances
Complete bank reconciliations and maintain accurate petty cash records.

Additional Duties

Reconcile the stock ledger to the General Ledger, investigating and resolving discrepancies
Support the preparation of accruals and prepayments
Maintain the fixed assets register, including depreciation calculations and schedules
Review, analyse, and process monthly expenses
Support the Head of Finance with: Month-end reporting, Cash flow forecasting, Annual budgeting process.
Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy
Ensure that financial information is accurate, complete, and delivered on time

Experience & Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar accounting role
Experience within a manufacturing environment (desirable)

High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Strong time management and organisational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across departments
