Job Summary

JOB HOURS: 9am - 2-30pm 2/3 days per week.

MONDAY - FRIDAY ONLY ( NO WEEKENDS)

We are seeking a proactive and friendly Shop Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, supporting daily shop operations, helping prepare and serve fresh food in a small customer facing environment. The ideal candidate will be well presented, with a warm & friendly personality, and a positive attitude. The ideal candidate will be able to work within a small team and be able to work under pressure in a small busy environment. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Welcome and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner.
9am - 2-30pm 2/3 days a week MONDAY - FRIDAY ONLY NO WEEKENDS
Flexibility to cover staff holidays
Take food orders & prepare sandwiches etc infront of customers.
Prepare & make sandwich fillings
Prepare & make hot food & hot drinks
Take & prepare telephone orders
Washing up & keeping all food preparation areas clean & tidy
Provide information about products and services to help customers make informed decisions
Maintain the organisation and cleanliness of the shop floor and display areas
Handle transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
Restock shelves and ensure products are correctly labelled and displayed
Assist with inventory checks and stock replenishment
Address customer queries promptly and escalate issues when necessary
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Previous experience in customer service or retail is advantageous but not essential
Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
Organised, reliable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work during shop hours.

Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
