Equans is looking for a Static Mechanical Engineer to join our team on the HMCTS contract. You will be based onsite the Royal Courts of Justice. This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and in addition you will receive an excellent benefits package.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across a variety of mechanical building services systems. You'll play a key part in maintaining safe, compliant, and efficient environments across our clients site.

WHAT WILL YOU DELIVER?
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on mechanical assets (e.g. HVAC, pumps, valves).
- Conduct legionella control and monitoring activities.
- Diagnose faults and carry out remedial works independently.
- Maintain accurate records on CAFM systems (e.g. TotalMobile).
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure safe systems of work, including use of Permits to Work.
- Participate in emergency response and out-of-hours cover as part of a rota.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, including proper use of PPE and adherence to Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Maintain compliance with BS7671 standards for relevant works.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, contractors, and clients.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Essential:
Previous experience in a similar role within a Facilities Management environment.
NVQ Level 3 or higher in Mechanical Engineering Services (City & Guilds or equivalent).

Ability to obtain and maintain BPSS and CTC clearance (required for specific sites).
Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with CAFM systems and maintenance documentation.
Awareness of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices
Desirable (but not essential):
- IPAF / PASMA certification.
- Technical Appointments such as CP – Mechanical or Pressure Systems (CPMPS).
- Experience working in secure or public sector environments.
