Teacher – Anne Francis Pre-Preparatory School

Buckhurst Hill, Essex

Anne Francis Pre-Preparatory School is a new independent school offering a modern, intellectually ambitious education grounded in strong relationships, rich language, and thoughtful teaching.

We are seeking exceptional, reflective Teachers to join our founding team and help shape a warm, scholarly, and ambitious learning environment for children aged 3–7.

The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to join a founding team and contribute to the development of a distinctive school community. You will play a key role in establishing high standards of teaching, curriculum, and culture from the outset.

The Role

Teachers at Anne Francis will:

Plan and deliver high-quality teaching aligned with the school’s educational vision
Create a calm, purposeful, and nurturing classroom environment
Support children’s intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development
Foster curiosity, language, confidence, and independence
Assess and monitor progress thoughtfully and accurately
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure curriculum coherence
Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, care, and professionalism

We are also interested in hearing from specialist teachers (e.g. English, Mathematics, Science, Art, Physical Education, and Classical Languages) who can contribute subject expertise within a cohesive whole-school curriculum.

Qualifications & Experience

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS)
Strong understanding of child development and effective pedagogy
Experience in Early Years or Lower Preparatory settings
A Master’s degree (or equivalent) is desirable
Experience or interest in independent education is advantageous
