Full job description

Currently seeking 1 Yard Operatives for a busy bagging operation

Starting employment: July 2025

Hours: between 06:00 - 18:30 Mon - Fri
Saturdays at overtime rate.
Overtime available regularly especially through summer months

Responsibilities of the Yard Operator:

Unloading and distributing of a variety of items from a wagon into the warehouse, the items will vary in size so the job can be labour intensive.
Pallet work categorization
Repairing Pallets
Relevant training will be given.
Cleaning
Loading vehicles
Unloading vehicles
Dealing with public
Working on bagging plants

Requirements of the Yard Operative:

Attention to detail
Valid Counterbalance licence
Good accuracy and organisational skills
Ability to work to target
Heavy lifting
Able to work in all weather conditions as this is a full time outside role
Good punctuality and attendance

The person:

Highly adaptable, resilient and tenacious with high levels of energy and drive.
Someone that is physically active, as this role is located outside, it will involve lifting heavy building materials
Someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Applicants with wheeled shovel loader experience will have an advantage but training can be provided for the right candidate.
