Salary: Dependent on experience
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Reporting to: Head of Marketing
About the Role
We're looking for a Digital Commerce Executive to manage and develop our Shopify website across both the Trade (B2B) and Retail sides of the site. You'll work closely with the Head of Marketing and Marketing Assistant, taking day-to-day ownership of the site - from product data and catalogue management to analytics and ERP integration.
This is not a theoretical role. You'll be in the platform every day, keeping product information accurate, ensuring the customer experience is right, and using data to help us improve. You'll also work closely with our tech agency and internal teams to ensure our Shopify site integrates effectively with our ERP system, Intact iQ.
Key Responsibilities
Shopify Website Management
· Day-to-day management of the Fargro Shopify site across both the Trade (B2B) and Retail sides of the site
· Maintaining and updating product pages, collections, navigation, and content
· Ensuring the site is well-structured, easy to use, and reflects Fargro's brand accurately
· Working with the Head of Marketing on copy, layout, and page improvements
· Coordinating with our tech agency on technical issues, app integrations, and platform updates
Product Data & Catalogue Management
· Owning the accuracy and completeness of product data across the Shopify platform
· Importing and updating product listings, including pricing, descriptions, imagery, and tags
· Ensuring new products - including seasonal ranges such as the Christmas Catalogue - are loaded correctly and on time
· Building and maintaining logical product collections, filters, and tagging structures
· Proofing product information to a high standard before it goes live
ERP Integration & Data Integrity
· Working with the Intact iQ ERP system to ensure product and order data flows correctly into Shopify
· Identifying and resolving data discrepancies between systems
· Liaising with internal teams and our tech agency to troubleshoot integration issues
· Maintaining accurate records and supporting data hygiene across both platforms
Analytics & Reporting
· Monitoring website performance using analytics tools (Google Analytics or equivalent)
· Producing regular reports on traffic, product performance, and customer behaviour
· Sharing actionable insights with the Head of Marketing to inform decisions
· Tracking key metrics across both the Trade and Retail sides of the site and flagging issues or opportunities
Requirements:
· Hands-on experience managing a Shopify website, including product and content updates
· Strong attention to detail - particularly around product data accuracy and proofing
· Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and digital systems day-to-day
· Experience using or integrating with an ERP or stock management system
· Able to interpret website analytics and translate data into clear, practical recommendations
· A working understanding of SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) - including how content is structured to perform well in both traditional search and AI-generated results
· Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
· A self-starter who takes ownership and follows things through
Desirable Requirements:
· Experience with Shopify B2B or trade account platforms (e.g. Sparklayer)
· Familiarity with Intact iQ or a similar ERP system
· Experience working in a product-led or wholesale business
· An interest in horticulture, gardening, or the natural environment
