Full job description

Assistant Front Office Manager | Four Points Flex by Sheraton Brighton

Four Points Flex by Sheraton Brighton are currently looking for an Assistant Front Office Manager/Duty Manager to join the business. We are ideally looking for someone with previous reception and leadership experience within the hotel industry but will consider applicants with other reception/customer service experience. The ideal candidate will be a smartly presented individual, with character and the ability to lead and coach a team; the capability to enhance our work culture with positive forward thinking and the availability to accomplish daily task as well as challenging goals. Exceptional customer service is a must as well as good listening and communication skills.

This is a full time position based on 40 hours a week including weekends and bank holidays! 5 days out of 7

Duties

Checking daily arrivals, making sure that every reservation is entered accurately, and all guests’ comments and requests are followed up.
Trying to maximize room revenue.
Assuming responsibility for the running of the hotel in the absence of senior management
Training new reception staff
To be fully aware of the Hotel’s Fire Safety procedures and Health and Safety regulations
Dealing with complaints quickly and efficiently and find suitable solutions to any problems that may arise, record and communicate issues to management and colleagues in a constructive and clear manner.
To liaise with guests and other departments, passing relevant information onto staff especially specific requirements or arrangements.
Ensuring that all areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
Ensuring that daily procedures re followed and completed correctly
Ensuring daily banking is correct
Making sure that Company policies are followed.
Replying to guests’ email or telephone enquiries, such as group bookings promptly and efficiently when the person responsible is not available or busy with other activities.
