Full job description

Job Overview

We have an opportunity for a Cleaning Operative to join the facilities team based at our Paragon Customer Communications site in Lancing.

We are seeking an experienced and committed Cleaner, on a part-time basis, to be responsible for ensuring a high level service is provided to create a clean and safe envrionment for all employees across the office.

Hours: Part-time, 12.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 4pm - 6:30pm

Salary: £8,264 per annum

This is a permanent opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

General office cleaning – cleaning desks, vacuuming, emptying bins (general / recyclables / food waste).
Replenish consumables as required
Clean and sanitise restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors
Clean kitchens/break rooms: counters, sinks, appliances
Empty bins; replace liners
Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
Ensure walkways and emergency exits are clear and safe
Follow cleaning schedules and checklists
Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment safely
Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management
Adhere to company safety and hygiene standards at all times
Monitoring of stock levels

Skills and Attributes we are looking for

Previous cleaning experience preferred
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
As this is a physical job, this does include manual handling, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Good communication skills and attention to detail
Be reliable & responsible with a flexible approach to work
Basic computer skills required for online training.
