Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Roofer to join our dynamic construction team! As a Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various roofing systems on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Your expertise will help ensure our projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team committed to craftsmanship and excellence in every project.

Duties

Read and interpret roofing schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide installation and repairs
Install new roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, or membranes
Conduct repairs on damaged roofs by replacing or patching roofing materials to ensure durability and weather resistance
Use welding techniques where necessary for metal roofing components or flashing installations
Fabricate custom parts or modifications in the shop or on-site to fit specific project requirements
Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols
Collaborate with carpenters, masons, plumbers, and other tradespeople during construction projects to coordinate work seamlessly

Skills

Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings related to roofing systems
Skilled in welding for metal roof components and flashing installations
Experienced with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, and measuring devices
Knowledge of construction processes including roofing, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and fabrication techniques
Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively on various materials
Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks and working at heights comfortably
Strong understanding of safety procedures related to roofing work and construction sites
