Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Decorator/Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, finishes, and decorative coatings to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality standards and attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction painting or related fields, looking to contribute to diverse projects in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to painting or decorating
Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
Ensure colour matching and finish consistency according to project specifications
Protect surrounding areas and surfaces from splashes or overspray during application
Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and report any repairs needed
Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients to understand project requirements
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during work activities

Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating preferred
Valid driving licence is advantageous for travel between sites
Good command of English language for effective communication with team members and clients
Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret instructions clearly
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high standards of workmanship
Physical fitness to undertake manual tasks including lifting, standing for extended periods, and working at heights if required
