Full job description

Job Summary
We are a family run local business who have been trading for 90 years!

We had a big refurbishment last October and need someone to keep everything looking lovely and tidy!

We are a very friendly bunch.

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across our shop, showroom, bathroom and offices and ensure a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike.

This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting, contributing to the overall presentation and safety of our facilities.

Duties

Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
Clean and sanitise shop floor, bathrooms, showrooms and offices
Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are stored safely and efficiently
Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during cleaning activities
Ensure all areas are kept tidy and presentable throughout the shift
Assist with specialised cleaning tasks as required, including carpet or window cleaning

Qualifications

Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Good communication skills in English to understand instructions and interact with team members effectively
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team setting
Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for clients and visitors
Reliable with a professional attitude towards work responsibilities

This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in creating clean, safe environments and possess strong communication skills. We value punctuality, professionalism, and a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Ideally I am looking for someone to work 5 evenings a week- Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs and Fri between 7pm to 10pm, so 15 hours per week in total.

Pay: £13.50-£14.00 per hour
