We are looking for a permanent Welder / Fabricator to join our experienced, successful production team.
The Company
Marian Engineering is an employee owned limited company. The firm presently trades from a 20,000 sq.ft manufacturing facility and offices in Birtley. We manufacture roller shutters, automatic fast doors and steel hinged doors and also provide a maintenance and repair service. We supply the construction sector and a wide range of industrial, trade, retail and public sector organisations.
The Job
You will be tasked with the manufacture of steel industrial and commercial door systems and to follow safe working practices within current health and safety guidelines. You will typically be working on;
· Industrial & commercial roller shutters
· Fast acting doors
· Fire shutters and doors
· Steel hinged doors
As part of the existing production team you will be involved in all aspects of the manufacturing process from fabrication using Mig welding equipment, Plasma cutters, CNC folder, Brake Press, Cold rolling mill and Powered guillotines, to final assembly working predominantly on black and galvanised mild steel.
You
You can demonstrate experience and will have a competent track record. You must have the ability to interpret drawings and to communicate professionally. You will also have a flexible attitude and willingness to respect and assist other engineers as part of an effective team.
