Full job description

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Pharmacy Dispenser to join our fast-paced community pharmacy team. This is a hands-on role within a busy dispensary, where accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork are essential.

A key part of this role involves preparing and managing blister packs (MDS trays), so previous experience in this area is highly desirable.

You will be working closely with the Pharmacist, Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT), and Medicines Counter Assistants (MCAs) to ensure efficient running of the pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately dispense prescriptions in line with SOPs and legal requirements
Prepare and manage blister packs (MDS trays) to a high standard
Support the ACT with dispensing accuracy and workflow management
Assist the Pharmacist in ensuring safe and effective service delivery
Maintain an organised, efficient, and compliant dispensary environment
Support front-of-shop activity when needed, working alongside Counter Assistants
Handle prescription queries, liaise with patients and GP surgeries where appropriate
Contribute to stock management, date checking, and ordering processes
Ensure confidentiality and adhere to GDPR and pharmacy regulations

What We’re Looking For

NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (essential)
Previous experience working in a busy community pharmacy
Experience with blister packs / MDS trays (highly desirable)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
A team player who is willing to pitch in across the pharmacy
Good communication and organisational skills
Positive, proactive attitude
