The Role
As a Production Support Assistant at Clayton Glass, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our production function. This is a fast-paced and varied position where you will act as an important link between office-based teams and shopfloor operations, helping to ensure production plans are coordinated, communicated, and delivered effectively.
Working closely with planning, purchasing, transport, and production teams, you will support the day-to-day coordination, administration, and flow of information that underpins operational performance. Your ability to stay organised, manage data accurately, and communicate clearly will directly contribute to maintaining production efficiency and meeting business targets.
Experience supporting production coordination, planning, or administrative activities within a fast-paced environment will be highly beneficial, particularly where you have worked with production schedules, stock control processes, or operational data. Backgrounds in manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or similar operational settings would be advantageous, especially where you have been required to manage information accurately and respond to changing priorities.
Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel or production and stock management systems, will support success in this role, alongside a proactive and organised approach and the ability to work confidently across both office-based functions and shopfloor teams.
