The Portsmouth Marriott Hotel is looking for a Conference & Banqueting Shift Leader to help support and lead the fantastic Conference and Banqueting Team!

We are looking for a passionate Conference & Banquets Shift Leader wanting to deliver a first-class experience at the world leading hospitality company Portsmouth Marriott Hotel located near famous landmarks such as the Spinnaker Tower has a range of amenities including: Cast Iron Bar & Grill, our signature restaurant and fitness centre.

What you’ll be doing as a Conference and Banqueting Shift Leader

Prepare coffee breaks, carts and stations with appropriate supplies
Organize tables, action stations, buffets, and carts for service
Communicate any additional meal requirements or special requests to the kitchen
Ensure courses are properly cleared and crumbed in a timely fashion
Manage the presentation of tableware so that it is accessible for the guests
Monitor cleanliness and proper sanitization of tables, stations and service areas
Lead shifts and Serves as a role model to our fantastic banqueting team
Lead on delivery of our amazing range of conference and events
Organize the day to day running of our events to ensure a smooth and seamless operation
Support the Restaurant and Bar operation within our Cast Iron Bar and Grill.
Works closely and efficiently with our passionate Sales and Events department
