Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner/Miller to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-precision components. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and experience in machining processes, working within a dynamic environment that values quality and efficiency.

Duties

Set up, operate, and monitor CNC turning and milling machines to produce specified parts in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
Interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and SolidWorks models to ensure accurate machining processes.
Conduct routine inspections of machined parts using basic measurement tools and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety protocols.
Troubleshoot machine issues and perform basic maintenance to minimise downtime.
Assist with plastics injection moulding processes when necessary, supporting overall production efficiency.Skills
Proficiency in CNC programming and operation, with experience in both turning and milling processes.
Strong mechanical knowledge, including familiarity with tooling, fixtures, and machine calibration.
Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar programmes for interpreting technical drawings.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and other workshop equipment safely and effectively.
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
Understanding of tooling selection and setup procedures for various materials including plastics.
Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.
