Full job description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman/woman to support essential home improvements and maintenance work within a care home environment.

Contract: permenant
Location: Red house
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 37.5 paid contract

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out general maintenance and repair tasks
Supporting minor refurbishment and improvement projects
Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
Responding to day-to-day maintenance needs within the care home
Working respectfully in a sensitive care environment

Requirements:

Proven experience in general maintenance or handyman work
Basic skills in plumbing, carpentry, painting, and repairs
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Understanding of health & safety practices
Friendly and respectful approach when working around residents and staff

Desirable:

Previous experience working in a care home or similar setting
Relevant trade qualifications
