Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Waiter to join our esteemed hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in restaurant service, demonstrating excellent guest relations and a thorough understanding of food safety and presentation. This role offers an opportunity to lead by example, ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests while maintaining high standards of service and professionalism.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service throughout their visit
Take accurate orders and communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery
Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise revenue
Serve food and beverages with professionalism, ensuring presentation standards are met
Assist in the organisation of dining areas, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for service
Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and dietary options to advise guests appropriately
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Support junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and mentorship
Handle guest enquiries or complaints promptly to uphold the establishment’s reputation for excellent service

Qualifications

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service, with a focus on guest satisfaction
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation processes
Previous experience in a culinary environment or kitchen setting is advantageous
Excellent organisational skills with effective time management abilities
Good numeracy skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
Exceptional communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
Basic understanding of upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and sales potential
