Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Scaffolder to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, and dismantling scaffolding structures on various construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of safety procedures, excellent physical fitness, and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment. Previous experience in construction-related trades such as carpentry, roofing, or masonry is highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to the safe and successful completion of building developments.

Duties

Erect, alter, and dismantle scaffolding structures according to project specifications and safety standards
Inspect scaffolding components regularly to ensure stability and safety throughout the project duration
Use hand tools and power tools to assemble scaffolding frameworks efficiently and securely
Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters, roofers, or masons to facilitate smooth workflow
Follow all health and safety regulations diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Assist with the transportation and storage of scaffolding materials on-site
Maintain detailed records of scaffolding inspections and modifications as required by site management
Ensure work areas are kept tidy and free from hazards to promote a safe working environment

Qualifications

Proven experience in scaffolding or related construction trades such as carpentry, roofing, or masonry
Knowledge of construction painting, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, or fabrication is advantageous
Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to scaffolding work
Physical fitness with the ability to work at heights and carry heavy materials safely
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Relevant certifications such as CISRS (Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme) are preferred but not essential for all roles; training can be provided for suitable candidates
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment

Locations include Leeds, Chesterfield, Scunthorpe, Doncaster

Pay: From £120.00 per day

Work Location: In person
