Tong Garden Centre

37.25 hours per week on average

Shift Pattern:

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (Wednesdays off)

Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (Fri, Sat, Sun off)

Do you love plants, enjoy working outdoors, and take pride in creating a beautiful, welcoming space? We’re looking for a motivated and hands-on Plants Assistant to join our friendly team at Bingley Garden Centre!

What you’ll be doing:

Keeping our outdoor plant area fully stocked, tidy, and visually appealing
Caring for plants by watering, feeding, and maintaining their health
Supporting with general outdoor upkeep, gardening, and landscaping tasks
Delivering excellent customer service by answering queries and helping customers find what they need
Maintaining a safe and clean environment, free from hazards
Supporting other departments when required

What we’re looking for:

A passion for plants and the outdoors
Has previous retail experience
In-depth plant knowledge and/or plant-related qualifications
Has the ability to heavy-lift stock (e.g. compost bags)
A proactive, can-do attitude
Good teamwork and communication skills
Customer-focused approach with a friendly manner
Willingness to get stuck in and help wherever needed
