Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Machine Operators OR Gantry Line Services Support individuals to join our Production team at our Dartmouth Way site located in south Leeds.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery or ensuring the smooth running of gantry line operations.

This role offers an opportunity to develop technical skills within a dynamic food production environment, contributing to the production of high-quality products enjoyed by consumers both nationally and internationally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Machine Operator):

a) To ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner in compliance with the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and Procedures.

b) Maintain GMP on the line, for which the machine operator is responsible for.

c) Take an active role in product change over’s / start up’s.

d) Report all faults without delay to relevant manager(s) to ensure engineers are at the scene to address issues ensuring production is restarted as soon as possible.

e) To ensure that the highest standards of hygiene and housekeeping are maintained in all areas - operating a clean as you go mentality.

f) Ensure all issues encountered in production areas are reported immediately to the direct line manager.

g) To proactively support, engage and drive the continuous improvement of Company performance, challenging existing practices and actively supporting the Company’s waste reduction program.

h) Assist with packing and re-packing work when required.

i) Ensure checks are completed and recorded accurately in line with company SOPs.

j) To ensure that the Company is professionally represented at all times, both inside and outside the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Gantry Line Services Support):

a) Arrange with a warehouse operative to deliver products required for production (mixes & raw materials) to Mezzanine Service Platform.

b) Ensure Stahl Hoist Checks are carried out.

c) Check with machine operatives which product they require on each line.

d) When pallet has been delivered to service platform, open gate, Complete Mezz Acceptance checks and record on relevant paperwork.

e) Ensure the Pallet is weighed onto the Mezzanine Platform using the Euroscale

f) Transfer to machine area using Hand Pallet truck.

g) Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed for all operations in full, on time and accurately.

h) Conduct all quality checks during the process to ensure Right First Time.

i) To protect the health, safety and welfare of the jobholder and others at all times.

l) To ensure that the Company is professionally represented at all times, both inside and outside the business.

Pay: £12.71-£13.25 per hour
