Full job description

Hawthorn Surgery is a busy GP practice located in Wortley Beck Health Centre in Lower Wortley, Leeds. We need an additional part time Receptionist/Care Navigator to work Monday to Friday from 2pm to 6.30pm. This is a varied role but the main duties include making appointments with the most appropriate healthcare professional, signposting patients, filing, scanning documents, photocopying, processing prescriptions, data entry, dealing with enquiries, and providing administrative support to the Clinical and Administrative teams. Experience of working in a GP Practice is preferred but not essential.

Successful applicants must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and good IT skills including Word and Excel. You must enjoy working with the public, working in a very busy environment, have the ability to rise to a challenge, be flexible, and be able to work different hours to cover colleagues absence.

You must have Grade 4-9 or above in Maths and English.

There will be a probationary period of 9 months and the offer of employment is subject to satisfactory references, Right to Work and DBS check.

Annual leave entitlement is 25 days plus Bank Holidays, and there is a contributory NHS pension scheme.
