Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate, skilled, and engaging Singing Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire students across all age groups through dynamic and engaging vocal lessons that develop technique, performance skills, confidence, and musicality. You will be responsible for preparing students for term-time performances, special events, and end-of-year showcases, while creating a positive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and age-appropriate singing lessons to students aged 4–18.
Teach vocal technique, breath control, pitch, harmony, performance skills, and stage presence across a variety of musical genres.
Prepare and direct students for performances, showcases, concerts, and events.
Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere with clear expectations and encouragement.
Collaborate with the drama and dance teachers to deliver cross-disciplinary projects and performances.
Monitor and report on student progress and wellbeing.
Ensure all health, safety, and safeguarding procedures are followed.

Person Specification

Essential:

Experience teaching singing to children and young people in a structured setting.
Degree/ Working towards or professional training in singing or performing arts.
Strong technical skills and the ability to teach across a range of styles.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
A confident, enthusiastic, and approachable manner.
Commitment to Razzamataz’s ethos of nurturing creativity and confidence.
Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide references.

Desirable:

Experience in choreography and show production.
First aid training.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Working Hours

Term-time Saturdays (typically between 845am – 4pm). Additional hours for show rehearsals, events, and training may be required.
