Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. This role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and enhancing their overall quality of life. The Care Worker will work closely with clients suffering from conditions such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, MSA and other health issues requiring specialised care.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
Provide patient care by monitoring health conditions and administering medication as required.
Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary.
Engage in behaviour management strategies to ensure a safe environment for all clients.
Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health status to the appropriate personnel.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans.

Requirements

OWN A VEHICLE to travel to client's homes (Paid mileage offered) or have a UK licence
Zero Hour contract
Clean DBS or online service
Previous experience in Home Care, Supported living, nursing homes, or home care settings is highly desirable.
Knowledge of Alzheimer’s, MSA-Parkinson's and dementia care practices is an advantage.
Qualifications in nursing or caregiving are beneficial but not mandatory.
Care Certificate
First aid certification is preferred to ensure safety during care provision.
Ability to use mobile hoists, overhead hoist and trained in Manual handling to assist clients with physical mobility challenges.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine desire to help others.
Flexibility in working hours to accommodate client needs is essential. Call hours can be e.g. 08:00 - 09:15, 13:00 -13:30, 16:45 - 17:15 and 20:00 - 20:45.
