FRONT OF HOUSE / SERVING STAFF (WITH BASIC INDIAN COOKING SKILLS)

Ghara Leicester – Franchise of Ghara Westfield Stratford

Role Purpose

Front of House staff are responsible for delivering excellent customer service, maintaining Ghara’s high standards, and supporting basic food preparation, including simple Indian cooking tasks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Service

Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately.
Serve food quickly and professionally.
Maintain a clean, friendly, and welcoming environment.
Handle customer questions and feedback politely.

2. Food Preparation (Basic Indian Cooking Skills)

Assist with simple cooking tasks such as:
Preparing rice, noodles, and basic curry bases
Heating and portioning items
Assembling bowls and meals to Ghara standards
Follow all food safety and allergen procedures.
Maintain clean workstations and proper food storage.

3. Operational Duties

Support stock rotation and restocking during shifts.
Keep the front counter, dining area, and service stations clean.
Assist with opening and closing tasks as required.
Follow all Ghara brand standards for speed, quality, and presentation.

Skills & Experience

Customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
Basic cooking ability, ideally with familiarity in Indian flavours.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
