Full job description

Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and experienced company accountant and HR lead to oversee our financial operations and mange key human resources functions. This is a dual role position that requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting the wider business.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day to day accounting activities
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Process payroll accurately and on time.
Reconcile bank accounts and maintain financial records
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Prepare Vat returns and assist with year end accounts and audit.
Monitor budgets, cash flow, and financial regulations and company policies

Human Resources

Manage recruitment, onboarding, and employee records
Administer employment contracts and HR documentation
Maintain HR policies and ensure compliance with employment legislation
Support performance management and employee development
Manage leave records, attendance and HR reporting
Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR matters.

Requirements

Proven experience in accounting, finance and HR
Strong knowledge of accounting software Sage
Excellent understanding of payroll, vat and financial reporting
Good knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
Strong communication, organisational, and problem solving skills
High level of confidentiality and professionalism
Relevant accounting or HR qualifications are desirable
