Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swimming Instructor to join our aquatic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons to individuals of all ages and skill levels. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your sports coaching and teaching skills in a dynamic environment, helping clients achieve their swimming goals while promoting safety and confidence in the water.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging swimming lessons tailored to the abilities and needs of each participant
Ensure the safety of all swimmers during lessons by enforcing pool rules and supervising activities
Assess the progress of swimmers and provide constructive feedback to support their development
Maintain a clean and organised pool area, ensuring all equipment is safe and in good condition
Foster a positive and encouraging environment that motivates learners to improve their skills
Keep accurate records of attendance, progress, and any incidents during lessons
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and safety

Experience

Previous experience in teaching, preferably within a swimming environment
Strong understanding of swimming techniques, water safety, and rescue procedures
Certification in lifeguarding or first aid is advantageous but not essential; training can be provided if necessary
Passion for teaching others and inspiring confidence in water-based activities
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to adapt lessons for different age groups and skill levels
