Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Mechanic to work on retro-mod and classic performance vehicles, with a strong focus on modernising and restoring older platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with 1990s–2000s BMW models and a genuine enthusiasm for blending classic automotive character with modern performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of retro and modified vehicles
Perform engine rebuilds, upgrades, and performance modifications
Work on suspension, braking, and drivetrain systems to modern standards
Carry out electrical diagnostics and integrate modern systems into older vehicles
Assist with full or partial vehicle restorations and custom retro-mod builds
Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and performance expectations
Maintain accurate job records and communicate progress clearly
Collaborate with team members on bespoke builds and problem-solving

Preferred Experience & Skills

Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or technician
Strong working knowledge of BMW models from the 1990s–early 2000s (e.g., E30, E36, E39, E46, E90)
Familiarity with diagnostics, ECU systems, and common BMW platform issues
Experience with performance upgrades (engine swaps, forced induction, tuning)
Solid mechanical skills across engine, transmission, and suspension systems
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams
Welding or fabrication skills (desirable but not essential)
Attention to detail and pride in high-quality workmanship
