Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and vigilant SIA Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of patrons and premises at various venues. The ideal candidate will possess excellent observational skills, a calm demeanour, and a strong commitment to maintaining a secure environment. This role involves monitoring access points, conducting surveillance, and providing assistance in accordance with licensing regulations and health & safety standards. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your presence helps create a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.

Duties

Manage entry and exit points, verifying identification and ensuring only authorised individuals gain access.
Conduct regular surveillance of the premises using CCTV systems to monitor activity and identify potential security threats.
Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious behaviour and intervening when necessary.
Maintain a visible presence to deter antisocial behaviour, violence, or disorderly conduct.
Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid if required.
Enforce venue policies and licensing conditions in a professional manner.
Record incidents accurately in incident reports and communicate effectively with team members and management.
Assist with crowd control during events or busy periods to ensure safety for all attendees.

Qualifications

Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence is essential.
Experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is advantageous.
Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring procedures.
First aid certification is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided if necessary.
Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and special events.
Professional appearance and demeanour with a customer-focused approach.
