Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting the smooth operation of catering services across various settings, including hotels, restaurants, and event venues. The successful candidate will play a vital part in delivering exceptional guest experiences by assisting with food service, preparation, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and culinary arts to develop their skills within a professional environment.

Duties

Assist with food preparation and presentation to ensure high-quality service standards.
Serve meals and beverages efficiently and courteously to guests or clients.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, serving areas, and dining spaces in accordance with food safety regulations.
Support the set-up and breakdown of catering events, including arranging tables, chairs, and equipment.
Ensure all food safety protocols are adhered to, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.
Provide excellent guest services by attending to customer needs promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
Restock supplies as needed to maintain efficient service levels.

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential.
Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
Experience in food preparation or serving roles is advantageous.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with guests or clients.
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work during peak times, including weekends
