Our advanced £5m fabrication facility in Heysham is busier than ever, featuring in-house design, laser cutting, CNC, shot-blasting, and full paint capabilities. We are fully UN/EU compliant and hold ISO 9001:2015 and Safe Contractor accreditations.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Shot blaster to join our production team at our facility in Heysham.
This is a permanent, full-time position working in our busy fabrication and finishing department.
Hours
- Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
- 30-minute lunch + two short breaks
- Flexibility for additional hours when required
Key Responsibilities
- Shotblast steel tanks, components and fabricated assemblies to specification
- Prepare surfaces to required standards before painting
- Operate and maintain shotblast equipment safely and effectively
- Carry out quality checks on completed work
- Follow daily housekeeping, maintenance and safety procedures
Skills and Experience
- Previous industrial shotblasting or surface-preparation experience preferred
- Ability to work safely in a dusty, noisy, high‑energy blast environment
- Understanding of surface preparation standards (e.g., SA2.5) beneficial
- Able to follow work instructions and meet deadlines
- Good awareness of Health & Safety and correct PPE use
- Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work well within a team
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office)
- Full driving licence and own transport required
