Radio Engineer - night shifts

Full time equivalent salary is £28,000 pa

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on, problem-solving role where you’ll play a key part in keeping essential communication systems running when it matters most.

Working evening/night shifts, you’ll:

Investigate and resolve radio faults across vehicles such as buses and trams
Take ownership of your workload, planning and prioritising tasks effectively
Ensure the right equipment is available — ordering and managing resources proactively
Deliver high-quality work with strong attention to detail
Communicate clearly with clients and colleagues, providing excellent service at all times
Support your team and contribute to a “right first time” approach to quality and customer satisfaction

You’ll be someone who takes pride in their work and represents TES positively in everything you do.

What we’re looking for

We’re keen to hear from engineers who bring both technical expertise and the right mindset. You’ll have:

A strong technical background with hands-on experience in radio systems, knowledge of RF technologies such as DMR, Analogue, VHF and Cellular or similar transferable skills and a willingness to learn.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A keen eye for detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

A full UK driving licence is essential due to travel requirements.

The details

Location: Leyland (on-site)
Role type: Part-time, permanent
Shift pattern: Evening / night shift
15-22.5 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday evenings/nights as standard - times will vary.
Transport made available to travel to site from Leyland offices.
