Full job description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager to oversee daily operations within our food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food production and hospitality, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of food safety, quality, and service are maintained at all times.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the kitchen and front-of-house staff, including chefs, servers, and baristas.
Oversee food preparation processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation meet company standards.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation to minimise waste.
Implement and monitor food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations.
Train new staff members and provide ongoing coaching to enhance team performance.
Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Organise staff schedules to optimise coverage during peak hours while maintaining labour costs.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health and safety standards.
Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients at competitive prices.

Requirements

Proven management experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment, ideally with a background in food production or culinary arts.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling and preparation.
Experience in supervising staff, managing operations, and ensuring high standards of service delivery.
Practical experience in cooking, food preparation, serving, or barista work is highly desirable.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
Good communication skills to liaise with staff, suppliers, and customers confidently.
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred; hospitality experience is advantageous.
