Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality swimming lessons to individuals of all ages and skill levels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment.

Duties

Conduct swimming lessons for various age groups, from beginners to advanced swimmers.
Develop customised lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of each student.
Ensure the safety of all participants during lessons by enforcing pool rules and guidelines.
Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students improve their swimming skills.
Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary to maximise learning outcomes.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pool area and equipment.
Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding progress, goals, and any concerns.

Experience

Must be Swim England or STA qualified.
Water rescue test or equivalent qualification required,
Previous experience in teaching is highly desirable.
Strong swimming skills with the ability to demonstrate various techniques effectively.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of all ages.
A friendly and approachable demeanour, fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
