Part-Time Accounts & Administration Assistant (Remote)

Company: Steve Chapman Haulage LtdLocation: Fully Remote (Applicants must live within the Wirral/Merseyside area)Salary: £16.50 per hourHours: Approximately 1 day per week initially (Flexible working hours)

About Us

Steve Chapman Haulage Ltd is a well-established haulage and plant transport business based on the Wirral. We are looking for a reliable and organised Accounts & Administration Assistant to support the day-to-day administration of the business.

This is a fully remote, work-from-home position with flexible working hours, making it ideal for someone looking for a part-time role around other commitments.

The position will initially be approximately one day per week, with the opportunity for additional hours as the business continues to grow. Future expansion will be based on business needs, individual performance and workload capacity.

Applicants must be based within the Wirral or Merseyside area, as paperwork will need to be collected and dropped off on a weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing and issuing customer invoices.
Entering supplier purchase invoices into Sage Accounting.
Filing and maintaining organised digital and paper records.
General office and administrative duties.
Assisting with bookkeeping and accounts administration.
Keeping company records accurate, organised and up to date.
Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the business.

Essential Requirements

Previous administration, accounts or bookkeeping experience.
Experience using Sage Accounting is highly desirable.
Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
Professional, trustworthy and reliable.
Excellent communication skills.
Must live within the Wirral/Merseyside area.

Desirable

Experience within the transport, haulage or construction industry.
Bookkeeping or finance administration experience.
Knowledge of Sage Accounts.

£16.50 per hour.
